About Trust

SRI GUHADASA TRUST is a Religious and Public Charitable Trust. All activities of the Trust shall be confined to Indian Jurisdiction only.

Founder and Trustees are native of Vaiyachery, a village near famous Guru Bahgawan Sthalam, Thittai, in Thanjavur District, Tamil Nadu, India.

Mangalambigai Samedha Agastheeswarar is the presiding deity of Sivan Temple at Vaiyachery

Trust successfully completed the renovation of Sivan Temple.

Kumbabishegam was performed on 25th March 2012 after renovation

Sri Perumal Temple

Lakshmi Narayana Perumal is the presiding deity of Perumal Temple at Vaiyachery. Trust successfully completed the renovation of Lakshmi Narayana Perumal Temple.

Maha Samprokshanam

Maha Samprokshanam was celebrated on April 02, 2017 at Vaiyachery.

  • Trust takes care of the following activities associated with the above temples for now.
  • Build | Renovate | Repair and Maintain the above temples.
  • Funds from proceeds of Corpus Fund and contributions to perform “Nitya Poojas” and “Nitya Upacharams” of deities.
  • Funds special Poojas and Annual Festivals associated with both the temples.

Music legends

Vaiyachery is the birthplace of music legends like Shri. Maha Vaidyanatha Sivan, Shri Ramaswamy Sivan (Sivan Brothers) and Shri Anai- Ayya Brothers. They have created great music compositions on presiding dieties of Vaiyachery.

Founder and some of the Trustees are direct descendants of famous Carnatic music legens. Trust promotes the musical compositions of these legends by conducting Maha Vaidyanatha Sivan Jayanthi every year, since Year 2018 and other musical events as appropriate. 175th Jayanthi of Shri Maha Vaidyanatha Iyer was celebrated in Year 2019.

Trust is actively engaged in building a database of their biography, books from eminent authors about their associations with legends, compiling their musical compositions with lyrics and notations not only to promote them but also help the music fraternity to learn them and sing in music events.

Trust will support and fund activities which would promote fine arts and culture and acknowledge people who excel in the field of fine arts and culture.

Trust is planning to a build a memorial hall at Vaiyachery at the birthplace of Shri Maha Vaidyanatha Iyer with the required infrastructure to conduct annual functions, festival events etc.

Trust will also fund projects of social welfare, religious harmony and upliftment of the poorest of the poor in the field of education.

Donations and Refund Policy

Donations to SRI GUHADASA TRUST will be accepted only by online internet banking transactions, cheque, demand draft, credit card, debit card and digital banking using payment gateways approved in India. Donations to trust can be done only in Indian Rupees. SRI GUHADASA TRUST is not enabled to accept deposits in foreign currency. Such deposits will not be allowed by bank at present. SRI GUHADASA TRUST will notify the same, as and when it enables the bank account to accept NRI deposits as per rules and regulations of Reserve Bank of India.

Donations to SRI GUHADASA TRUST will not be eligible for 80G tax exemption claims for now. SRI GUHADASA TRSUT will notify the same, as and when 80G approval is obtained.

SRI GUHADASA TRUST is instituting a donation refund policy to ensure fair and transparent processing of requests for refund of donations as digital payments are becoming more frequent.

SRI GUHADASA TRUST expects that all donors will exercise due care and diligence while making donations. SRI GUHADASA TRUST also recognises that a donation may be made erroneously, or donors may change their mind.

SRI GUHADASA TRUST will examine each request for refund of donation and endeavour to make the refund. SRI GUHADASA TRUST may also seek further information / documents and donor must co-operate in this regard.

If you would like your donation to SRI GUHADASA TRUST to be refunded,

You must request SRI GUHADASA TRUST in writing or by email for a refund and Your request must reach SRI GUHADASA TRUST within 15 (fifteen) days from the date on which you made the donation i.e., the date on which you:

Made the donation online, electronically or through other means, OR

Handed over the cheque / demand draft to SRI GUHADASA TRUST or someone authorised by SRI GUHADASA TRUST for this purpose, OR

Despatched the cheque / demand draft to SRI GUHADASA TRUST by other means.

The written request stating reason for requesting refund must be sent to the address stated in website and it must contain the following details pertaining to the donation,

Date of donation, Donation amount, Cheque/Draft no if donation was, made through cheque/draft, Credit Card no. (last 4 digits only) if donation was made through credit card, Donation-ID, if the donation was made online internet banking or digital banking using payment gateways approved in India.
